Tornado Alley

This refers to the zone of Plain States in the USA, where tornadoes are especially common. When cool, dry air from the Rockies collides with warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico, destructive tornadoes can form. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota are especially susceptible through spring and early summer.
